I believe this is my strongest photo taken within this project. It holds a lot of different points that draw the eye in, and the reflections/shadows on the water really accentuate the photo. This photo was taken once the sun went below the point on the horizon that we could see from where we were located, but gave gorgeous depth and color to the sky. I really enjoyed taking photos at the Newark Reservoir! Take a look at some of the other photos I took on my walk at sunset on 9/15/24!

The most challenging aspect of this project was trying to get everything that I wanted in focus. One of my photos involves a sunset with some high pieces of grass that I wanted to capture within the photo. Getting the grass to focus as well as the brightness of the sun was definitely a challenge.

In terms of how I can take better photos in the future, I really would like to play around with lighting and different angles, and maybe try some new areas of photography, such as portraits. I think that exploring new areas can really increase my knowledge in this craft.

I love all of the different colors that you were able to capture in this single photo! The colors are very eye-catching and having them on a plain background really does allow the bright coloring of the sushi to pop. The focus on the photo is also really well done, because it shows the detailing of each part of the sushi. I think the little bit of garnish on some of the pieces really proves that this picture is so eye-drawing. I also love that you were able to get creative and give us a piece of your home town. Beautifully done!

Hi Nicola! I really like your photo. The mixture of textures along with the timing that gave you that beautiful sky is really breathtaking. I also think the juxtaposition between the nature on the right and the structure on the left is really nice. It feels very tranquil. - Caroline Cords

I think that the lighting of this photo is perfect. You can see all the colors of the rainbow in the sky and the way it reflect on the water gives the water a lot of depth and texture. I also think that you used the rule of thirds really well. The bridge is in the left third, and then you have the bank in the bottom third, and the sky in the top third. There is also a good contrast between the sky and those hills, which emphasizes the light and dark. The photo makes me feel peaceful. This is a really beautiful image.
