Criticizing Photographs - The 6 Categories

I feel that this was my most successful image for this assignment, simply due to the landscape and beautiful weather while taking this photo. I believe that this image is very drawing to the eye, and really captures the true beauty of fall.

Personally, the most challenging aspect of this assignment was finding an image that fit under the 'theoretical' category. I feel that because this category is so broad, a lot of different types of images could have fit under this category.

In the future, I hope to play around with natural lighting more. I have always enjoyed taking photos of nature, but I would love to try and take more photos while it is dark outside to get more comfortable with darker lighting.

Hi! I also agree on the photograph of the eye that you took. This is a really beautiful image! Your ability to keep the camera focused on the eye is not an easy task, but you did very well capturing every intricate detail of the eye in this one photo. I also think the slight shadowing on the face adds some depth to the photo which I really like as well. I can definitely see why you chose this as your best piece, I would say the same. Great work!
